Directions Marketing Wins Four PRemier Awards
NEENAH, Wis., Oct. 27, 2011—The public relations team at Directions Marketing, a full-service integrated marketing communications and packaging agency based in Neenah, Wis., collected four awards at the 2011 PRemier Awards held Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Brett Favre Steakhouse in Green Bay. Hosted by the Northeast Wisconsin chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, the PRemier Awards recognize exceptional public relations work in the region.
"Our agency's focus is to connect our clients' brands and services to their customers," said Kristine Sexton, president of Directions Marketing. "While we measure a project's success our client's expectations, it's inspiring and motivating to have other industry professionals give us the seal of approval for the work we do day in and day out."
Entries in nine categories were judged by a reciprocal PRSA chapter and ranked against established standards on a scale of one-to-100. One PRemier Award was issued to the top scoring entry in each category, Awards of Excellence were presented to entries with 81 or higher points and Awards of Merit were presented to entries scoring 75 to 80 points.
Directions won the PRemier Award and Award of Excellence in the Media Relations category for its work with SCA in establishing and building media relations programs in the four communities where the company has U.S. manufacturing operations.
In the Online Communications category, Directions earned a second Award of Excellence for its public relations and marketing tactics promoting the www.enhanceyourbrand.com microsite. Created for Avery Dennison, the website helps the client reach a global market of end users of pressure-sensitive labeling products.
Finally, Directions won an Award of Merit in the Special Events category for the wind turbine dedication at SCA's Service Excellence Center. SCA partnered with Directions to turn SCA's wind turbine dedication ceremony into the "Let's Zero In On Energy Independence" sustainability fair which attracted nearly 300 attendees and widespread media coverage.
