Directions Marketing Kicks Off Football Season with Food Drive

NEENAH, Wis., Sept. 1, 2011 — As football's pre-season wraps up, employees at Directions Marketing, a full-service integrated marketing communications and packaging agency based in Neenah, Wis., huddled together today to tailgate and collect food for families in need.

"There's plenty of excitement in the area about the upcoming football schedule as the Packers defend their championship title," said Cheri Dieringer, social committee chairperson at Directions Marketing. "While our employees gathered to kick off the season, an important part of our company culture is to give back to the communities we live and work in by recognizing and supporting the needs around us. Holding the food drive got our office energized for the green and gold's season but, more importantly, it allowed us to help those in the greater Fox Cities area who could use our assistance."

In three-and-a-half days, 170 non-perishable food items were collected and will be donated to St. Joseph Food Program, Inc., located in Menasha. In addition, employees donated $277 that will be given to St. Joe's to help purchase milk, eggs and produce for the more than 1,000 families it serves each week.
