Directions Marketing Wins Silver at the 2011 ADDY® Awards

NEENAH, Wis., March 30, 2011 — Directions Incorporated, a full-service integrated marketing communications and packaging agency based in Neenah, Wis., was recently awarded Silver at the 2011 AAF-Fox River Ad Club ADDY® Awards competition in the "Advertising Industry Self-Promo" category for its Holiday Caption Contest.

The ADDY Awards, an annual gala, honors "creative excellence" in advertising throughout Northeastern Wisconsin, the second largest market in the state. Those who received a Gold ADDY Award at the local level will advance to the district level, and then to the national level. The competition includes both professional and student categories. This year's ADDY Awards took place at the EAA's Eagle Hangar in Oshkosh, Wis., on March 17.

The Directions' interactive Holiday Caption Contest invited clients, vendors, friends and family to submit witty captions for a chance to win prizes and wall space in the "Gallery of Clever Captions." The contest featured three winter friends—Glitch, the abominable snowman; Tweak, the elf; and Sketch, the reindeer. The characters were hand-sculpted and digitally painted, then captured through photography in a variety of scenes, including a library, bar, football stadium, and the dashboard of a classic car. "The Holiday Caption Contest offered a unique twist to your standard holiday greeting," said Aaron Graff, art director for Directions. "Not only did it bring levity to the season, but the contest was designed to be eco-friendly—being entirely online."
